While in Atlanta a few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to reconnect with a college friend for dinner and drinks. We attempted to cram in two hours all our life experiences during the time we had lost contact. I then informed her that I thought it would be a great idea to have a girlfriend mixer. After all, we love to have fun and enjoy one another's company. So I have been brainstorming the perfect location, time of the year, and theme. This also led me to think about what we enjoy doing whenever we, meaning any of my girlfriends, get together. Most of us love shopping, a cocktail or two, playing various games, and being pampered. We're all passionate about a particular cause (cure for cancer, elimination of domestic violence, elimination of homeless epidemic, AIDS awareness, to name a few).

I recently received an invite to a "Purses and Martinis" girls night out. The host of the function is utilizing this event as a promotion vessel to introduce her new business.
