Making the decision of what Bridal Gown you will wear is not as simple as one may think. For the Bride to be, it is one the most important decisions to make. You have various elements to consider, such as, the time of year the wedding is being held, indoor or outdoor wedding, strapless, sleeveless, a-line, goddess, ball gown, or blinged out. All of these things have to be balanced with your budget. In this day in age designers even vary from Vera Wang to Vivienne Westwood (infamous for Carrie's Gown in Sex in the City Movie 2008). Knowing that you have such a variety to choose from, I must remind you being the Planner, your BUDGET should be in the forefront of your mind while shopping. "Saying YES to the Dress", without having an idea of how much you can spend, could be one of the biggest disasters. There is no worse feeling than having your mind and hopes set on a Fabulous Amsale Bridal Gown to discover that you are unable to afford it.
I was watching TLC a couple of weekends ago. The Network has a show entitled "Say Yes to the Dress". This show centers around Brides to be from all over the World searching for their dream Wedding Gown. The store that is featured in the reality show is Kleinfeld Bridal in New York, famous for it's large inventory of designer Wedding Gowns. Bride after Bride along with Consultants in tow tried on dress after dress. One common reaction from each Bride, Mother of the Bride, and even the Bridal Consultants were tears of joy. That is how important the selection is to a Bride. If you really think about it, all little girls want to be Cinderella or for that matter any of the Disney Princesses. Why do we?? The beautiful dresses they wear. The magic that seems to appear when they wear the gorgeous Gowns. That is the feeling a Bride has when selecting her dress for one of the most memorable events in her life.
So, when he proposes....And you say, "YES"! Remember budget is the first item to keep in mind.
